Caye Caulker's Original Animal Sanctuary

Control Animal Population

C.A.A.T.S. is a not for profit organization founded by Madi Collins of Caye Caulker Island, Belize to specifically travel throughout Belize, Mexico and where ever needed to control animal population through the humane practice of sterilization.

Our mission is to humanely control animal population through the practice of sterilizing animals by conducting weekly clinics and offering free spay and neutering of family owned pets

In addition, we have an ongoing TNR (Trap, Neuter and Release) Program where we trap feral/stray cats, sterilized them and release adult cats. We keep the very young cats and place them up for adoption.

We sterilize all domestic animals but we also channel our efforts into trapping feral/stray cats, sterilize them, replace or adopt them depending on the individual animal. We are strictly run by volunteer vet, techs and animal lovers from all over the world.

You can also donate to this program and help make a difference in the lives of many animals by controlling their population and thereby reducing suffering. We need medications, vaccines, vet instruments or any animal related items or refer us or spread the word to anyone that may be able to help and ask them to do same.

We are also in dire need of collars and leases, hard case kennels for dogs and soft pop-up holding cages.

If you want to come and visit, we are always in need of volunteers, vet teams, techs, and animal lovers to help at the sterilization clinic. If you are a vet that can gather a group of your vet friends to come and help us out or if you are a group that travels to help animals via sterilization, please see our program information.
