Caye Caulker's Original Animal Sanctuary

Humane Education

P.A.W. for Art is a humane education program aiming to educate school age children about animal welfare issues. This program uses art as a vehicle to bring about positive change for people and animals alike by teaching them pet responsibility, humane treatment of all living beings and the importance of sterilizing their animals.

We are in dire need of teacher volunteers with or without experience. All we require is a person who loves kids and animals and want to make a difference. You teach in our small community and you can also travel with our team throughout Belize and Mexico to teach children. We are always open to new ideas so please email us for more details.

You can also donate to this program. You can also help our program by donating new or used things we can use for this program such as paints, brushes, crayons, markers, drawing books and paper, poster, brochures, handouts and any other things relating to humane ed or art that are child appropriate.

By donating to this wonderful cause you are helping make a difference in the lives of the kids and our island animals.

Cat P.A.W. Program is a youth program that trains teens on how to detect animal abuse. Teens use this info to always be aware of an animal at risk and report to P.A.W.

Youngsters go out into the field to scope out any incidents of animal abuse and also to pick up any homeless, injured animals in distress as well as seek out and report any cat colonies or homeless cats so they can be trapped and sterilized.

If you would like to become a part of this team either to train teens on animal abuse or any other ideas you may have, or donate T-shirts to the team, please get in touch.
